A MOVING BODY OF WORK ROOTED IN RESILIENCE, FAITH, AND PURPOSE

Nigerian Afrosoul artist Kendickson unveils Life Series, his most
personal and accomplished body of work to date. More than an album, the eight-track project
is a deeply reflective exploration of struggle, healing, resilience, faith, and hope, transforming
lived experience into a universally relatable soundtrack for anyone navigating life’s defining
seasons.

Following the emotional honesty of his previous project, Love Series, Kendickson expands
his storytelling with a project that chronicles the realities of becoming. Built on Afro-fusion,
Afrosoul, R&B, alternative influences, cinematic production, and introspective songwriting,
Life Series captures the emotional weight of surviving hardship while discovering purpose
beyond it.

The album is drawn directly from Kendickson’s own life. At just twelve years old, his father
suffered a stroke, thrusting the family into years of financial and emotional uncertainty. By
seventeen, his mother had left home, leaving him, as the eldest child, to shoulder
responsibilities far beyond his age. Four years later, the loss of his father became another
defining chapter, deepening both his grief and his dependence on faith. Rather than allowing those experiences to shape his limitations, Kendickson transformed them into the foundation
of his artistry.

Across Life Series, every record represents a chapter of that journey. Opening track “Life”
reflects on growing up in Lagos while chasing a future beyond circumstance. “Kwechiri (No
Gree)” revisits painful family memories, confronting stigma while celebrating resilience and
the triumph of faith over adversity. “God’s Plan” serves as a motivational anthem for
dreamers navigating rejection and delayed success, while “Nobody (Akonuche)” explores
betrayal, discernment, and the difficult lessons learned from both life and the music industry.

As the project unfolds, its emotional tone gradually shifts from survival to restoration.
“Remind Me” embraces forgiveness and healing, while “Exotic” celebrates renewed
confidence through vibrant Afro-fusion rhythms infused with Igbo musical influences.
“Shine” stands as one of the album’s defining moments, a heartfelt prayer from an artist
longing to be seen after years of sacrifice. Closing record “Understand” offers one final
reflection on the personal cost of ambition, acknowledging the delicate balance between
pursuing purpose and preserving relationships.

Sonically, Life Series effortlessly blends Afro-fusion, soul, hip-hop, R&B, alternative music,
cinematic instrumentation, and African rhythmic textures into a cohesive listening
experience. Kendickson’s distinctive vocal tone carries emotionally rich melodies while his
songwriting moves seamlessly between vulnerability, spirituality, philosophy, motivation, and
poetic reflection. Every song feels deeply personal without losing its universal appeal,
creating an album that comforts, challenges, and inspires in equal measure.

Rather than centering itself on suffering, Life Series ultimately celebrates endurance. It
speaks to anyone carrying grief, rebuilding after disappointment, pursuing impossible
dreams, searching for healing, or simply trying to keep moving forward despite life’s
uncertainties. The project reminds listeners that difficult seasons are not permanent, and
that today’s struggles can become tomorrow’s testimony.

The title Life Series reflects Kendickson’s belief that life unfolds in chapters, with every
season shaping the person we eventually become. Where Love Series explored matters of
the heart, Life Series documents the resilience required to survive, evolve, and ultimately
thrive.

RCee delivers a thriller with new ‘Money Makes The World Go Round’ music video

Ghanaian singer-songwriter RCee has released the official music video for his song,
‘Money Makes The World Go Round (MMTWGR),’ delivering a gripping cinematic
experience that blurs the lines between love, crime, and betrayal.

Far from a conventional performance video, ‘Money Makes The World Go Round

after making away with a suitcase believed to contain a fortune. With relentless
pursuers closing in, the pair are forced to trust each other while navigating a dangerous

Maxzy chooses remorse over ego in new track ‘Tell on You’

Maxzy doesn’t succumb to ego on his latest, ‘Tell on You.’ Instead, he strips away the
posturing that often follows breakups to reveal the tenderness of a man confronting his
own mistakes. With sincerity, the crooner lets his guilt take center stage, turning his pain into a moment of raw release. The result is a heartfelt payoff that lands with the words: “Please don’t go and tell on your friend,” a gentle plea for discretion after betrayal.

This context transforms the single from your typical love song into a flawed yet relatable
confession from someone who understands the pain they’ve caused and is ready to
make things right. Maxzy’s delivery unfolds like a late-night confession, carried by an
understated production and mellow vocals that sweetly balance the tension between
regret and self-preservation.

With ‘Tell on You,’ Maxzy reminds listeners that accountability can be just as beautiful
as love itself. He opens an uneasy space that explores what comes after heartbreak:
guilt, regret, and the longing for forgiveness, suggesting that true healing begins with
the courage to admit you were wrong. By the end, listeners don’t just hear the star; they
feel his every word and are left rooting for his redemption.

Keeny Ice and Kwesi Amewuga bring fearless energy on powerful new song ‘Dangerous’

Ghanaian rapper, Keeny Ice is turning up the pressure with the release of
‘Dangerous’, an unapologetic new single featuring fellow rap powerhouse Kwesi
Amewuga. Serving as the lead release from his upcoming album “Afro HipHop”, the
record finds both artists delivering fearless verses over a hard-hitting Hip-Hop
production that celebrates resilience, confidence and unwavering self-belief.

On ‘Dangerous’, Keeny Ice makes one thing clear, he has his eyes set on the top,
not just within Ghana’s rap scene but across the African continent. With sharp
lyricism and commanding delivery, he addresses critics and doubters head-on,
making it known that while others may wish for his downfall, he remains focused on
success and determined to keep winning. The song’s central message is simple:
underestimate him at your own risk.

Living up to its title, Keeny Ice embraces the “dangerous” persona as a symbol of
strength and fearlessness, warning that anyone who deliberately crosses his path
should be prepared to face the consequences. It’s a confident declaration from an
artist entering a new chapter with renewed purpose and ambition.

Kwesi Amewuga matches that intensity from the moment he steps onto the record.
The rapper delivers a composed yet commanding verse, speaking on moving with
influential circles, staying true to his own path and succeeding without following the
crowd. Returning later with the signature flow and rhyme patterns that have become
synonymous with his style, he effortlessly switches into Ewe, adding authenticity and
flair while reinforcing themes of success, confidence and living life on his own terms.

Produced by Nexux Beatz and polished through mixing and mastering by Authentic
Mix, ‘Dangerous’ blends gritty rap energy with contemporary Hip-Hop production,
creating an anthem that feels equally suited for the streets and the speakers.
‘Dangerous’ has already garnered over 100,000 plays on Audiomack and multiple
streams across several streaming platforms.

The single also marks another important milestone for Keeny Ice as it comes under
his new distribution partnership with ONErpm, setting the stage for what promises to
be an exciting rollout toward the release of “Afro HipHop”.

With ‘Dangerous’, Keeny Ice and Kwesi Amewuga deliver more than just another
collaboration, they make a statement. It’s bold, uncompromising, and serves as an
exciting preview of what’s to come from “Afro HipHop”.

Young Rob is in his element on new love anthem ‘My Girl’

There's a reason why Young Rob remains one of Afrobeats’ most captivating
voices, he’s the “gyal dem sugar,” and ‘My Girl’ captures that magic. Here, the crooner
keeps it suave, putting his girl on a pedestal while letting his romantic side shine through every lyric. The result is a track that feels both personal and universal, thus impossible to ignore.

Co-produced by Vaïtro and Regah, ‘My Girl’ bursts with an irresistibly catchy groove that will have you hooked from start to finish. Young Rob is in his element. His expressive lyrics and vocals relay sincere emotions that culminate in a bright track perfect for the big stage. The warmth he radiates is energizing–the kind that lights up faces and reveals a tender side. According to Young Rob, the inspiration behind ‘My Girl’ came from a simple truth:

“Finding true love these days is a real struggle,” he explains. ‘My Girl’ is about knowing
how to treat and care for a real one when you’re lucky enough to have one by your side.
It’s a blessing to find a good woman. They deserve all the love and affection they can get.”

‘My Girl’ sets the stage for another ambitious year for Young Rob. The star enjoyed multiple successes last year, releasing a string of hits–’Show Me (Remix)’ featuring Sada, ‘Cali Girl’ featuring Lonzo Starr, the Daft Punk-esque ‘Just Dance,’ and the explosive ‘Fire Dey.’ As a result, fans can expect an equally active year from the ‘Freakiana’ hitmaker.

HARSHTERG DECLARES A NEW ERA WITH EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE "CARTER"

Port Harcourt-bred artist steps fully into his unfiltered self on a raw Afrobeats anthem built for the internet generation.

PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA
— Harshterg, the Alte trailblazer and creative force behind the SpiggVerse movement, is announcing the release of his bold new single, "Carter"— a declaration of intent, a shift in energy, and the opening statement of a new chapter he calls the Buffterg Era.

Inspired by the chaotic cultural impact of viral sensation Carter Efe, "Carter" is what happens when an artist stops playing it safe. Built on raw Afrobeats drums and street-inspired rap melodies rooted in Port Harcourt, the record blends humor, hunger, and real-life pressure into something aggressive, catchy, and completely unfiltered. It is louder, wilder, and more committed than anything Harshterg has put out before — music designed to be seen as much as heard.

"If you no get money you be bastard / Na why I wan mad just like Carter"

The hook cuts straight to the bone — a sharp, street-honest observation about money, visibility, and the lengths people go to be taken seriously. The track doesnt stop there. A vocal-inspired bridge references Carter Efe directly, deepening the rebellious, internet-native energy that runs through the entire record;

"Them off my light I on inverter / You dey whine PH boy you know the matter"

"Carter" is not just a single — it is a statement of identity. With it, Harshterg formally enters the Buffterg Era, a new phase of his sound and personality built around four pillars: confidence, chaos, culture, and visibility.

About Harshterg

In 2025, he spearheaded SouthSyd, a groundbreaking compilation album spotlighting emerging voices from Port Harcourt and the wider South-South region — cementing his role not just as an artist, but as a curator of movements.

For Inusa’s longtime fans, ‘Daylight’ also marks a return to the reggae-infused

direction that helped shape some of Inusa’s most celebrated releases, including

‘Rumours (Digi Digi)’, ‘Morning Light’, ‘Going Back to My Roots’, ‘Rub-A-Dub Girl’

and ‘Walking on Sunshine’. These tracks helped establish his reputation for creating

music that seamlessly bridges club culture with positive, feel-good storytelling.

Lyrically and musically, ‘Daylight’ embraces themes of freedom, joy and human

again why his genre-blending sound continues to resonate across different

timeless, refreshing and ready to soundtrack the season.

DJ Slim Jerry: the Ghanaian cultural bridge-builder steering Afrobeats into new waters with ‘Abonteen’

The veteran DJ has long been an architect of New York’s Afrobeats scene. This
summer, he’s raising the temperature with the sun-drenched vibes of ‘Abonteen,’ a track
that showcases his mastery of the genre and hints at its possible future.
With summer fast approaching, one track is racing to define it: the kinetic ‘Abonteen,’ a
song that distills the very essence of Afrobeats and ventures into new territory. For
culture loyalists, this comes as no surprise. DJ Slim Jerry has been instrumental in the
genre’s rise overseas. For over two decades, the man of the hour–born Jerry Adu–has
carried the sound of Accra into the heart of the Bronx, becoming the borough’s most
celebrated Ghanaian DJ. Now, with ‘Abonteen,’ he’s channeling that legacy into a bold
anthem that captures the thrill of being outside.

But don’t take our word for it. Slim Jerry’s portfolio speaks volumes about his influence.
The Bronx native has shared stages with some of Ghana’s most celebrated acts:
Grammy-nominated Stonebwoy, the “Dancehall King” Shatta Wale, Hip-Hop/Hiplife duo
R2Bees, Prince Bright of BukBak, Tinny, and Obrafour, alongside DJ Tunez (Wizkid’s
official DJ) and Kizz Daniel. Each collaboration highlights a simple truth: DJ Slim Jerry
commands respect among his peers as a cultural bridge linking Afrobeats’ epicenters to
New York’s music scene.

So where does ‘Abonteen’ fit in? Well, it’s more a statement than a nod to his legacy.
The track arrives at a time when the global appetite for Afrobeats is at its peak. Named
after the Akan word for “outside,” it captures the irresistible pull of the streets,
encapsulating the same energy that fuels Detty December. Beneath the song’s
infectious rhythms, however, lies Slim Jerry’s next frontier: Afro House. The DJ is
experimenting with ways to blur the line between West Africa’s nightlife scene and the
Bronx’s musical heritage, crafting a sonic landscape that mirrors Afrobeats’ evolution
beyond borders.

What’s next is anyone’s guess, but ‘Abonteen’ offers a glimpse of that future. No
wonder Slim Jerry calls his latest a “love letter to every soul who lives for the
moment.” With its sun-drenched melodies and instant Quotables, he couldn’t be more
right. The song sparks movement, the kind that can turn any open-air venue into a
bustling dancefloor. It’s clear ‘Abonteen’ was destined to own the season, and the
maestro reminds us why: “‘Abonteen’ is for anyone who knows what it feels like
when the warmth hits and it’s time to step outside for a ride,” he says. “That fizzy
energy is bottled up in this song.”
