Jinmi Abduls Captures The Sweetness Of Intimacy With A Tender New Release, ‘Hold You’

Afro-Pop’s Jinmi Abduls returns with his second single of the summer, ‘Hold You’. This love
song opens with the kind of warmth that pulls you in immediately. Sweet rhythm drums, soft
guitar riffs and his calm, affectionate vocals come together to create a record that feels
tender, familiar and deeply romantic.

‘Hold You’ is a sweet serenade touching on closeness, comfort and the emotions that aren’t
always easy to articulate. Blending classic Afrobeats and R&B, the track finds Jinmi Abduls
leaning into the softer side of love. He captures the desire to be present and offers comfort
through every season. 

Co-produced by the talented Kuspid (Odumodublvck/Scottyolorin), and Jinmi Abduls, ‘Hold You’ carries the ease of a timeless love song. Its gentle drums and soft rhythm create a
smooth groove for Jinmi’s vocals to sit in. The track nods to classics like Teddy Pendergrass’
‘When Somebody Loves You Back’ and 2Face Idibia’s ‘Ole’. This draws on the nostalgic world
of devotion while still feeling fresh and distinctly his own.

Speaking about the release, Jinmi shares, “Making music for me is about expressing the
many emotions we feel, some of which don’t even have words to describe them. I wrote this
song to feel like a warm embrace on a stormy night. Nothing feels better”.

Now signed to Believe Music in Paris, Jinmi Abduls continues to step into a new era with
intention and clarity. Following the release of ‘Sade’ in May 2026, ‘Hold You’ solidifies a new
chapter. It offers a glimpse into the emotional world the star is building - setting the tone for
more to come.
