The song was produced by Drizzle, an emerging music producer from Bauchi State.

“The most interesting about her, is the region she hails from: the North-Eastern part of Nigeria is largely made of conservative  Muslims and not many would expect a wide-eyed girl from that axis to venture into secular music,” wrote Jerry Chiemke, the Editor-In-Chief, Afrocritik in his review of Aisé Maryah’s debut. 0RACLESHAUN BLAZES A NEW TRAIL WITH HIS EXPLORATIVE DEBUT EP, 'FOR COOL KIDS'

With brilliantly carved songs that explore different sides of him in several elements, all making up his greatly anticipated EP, For Cool Kids, self-made and experimental music artiste, 0racleShaun opens yet another new path and makes a fresh statement in the Nigerian music industry, as a contemporary, versatile and modern music artiste. Swimming in the rivers of unconventional and unique genres, this bouquet of four beautifully crafted songs took cues from several genres such as RnB, trap and Afrobeats to consciously articulate 0racleShaun's style,  thoughts and emotions, both as a young person and also an intentional artist. For Cool Kids not only proves to be a masterpiece with its well thought arrangements, soothing melodies and relatable lyrics but also grounds itself in the mind of any listener as a familiar experience worth journeying into. Opening with 'Way Too Many', a song that blends brilliant and thought-out bars with a cocktail of trap and

RnB genres, it's vivid to see the prowess of every contributor as they intelligently blend the power of catchy hooks, smooth contrasts and poetic lyrics, all stemming from the passion in 0racleShaun message, his knowledge of the essence of different genres and the producer's wisdom to merge the best of all these into the Genesis of this EP.

As it progresses the neat production of the songs on this project and the strategic arrangements employed can also be inferred. 0racleShaun subtly takes us on his personal journey with clear lyrics to repeated ones that seem to build up to a powerful message ranging from themes of love and lifestyle, all of which pays a homage back to the title of the project. OracleShaun embodies For Cool Kids with a strength and passion clearly expressed with his tone leaving a grounded and unforced ambience, and more importantly, with the vocal skills expressed in different songs, he

shows that he's a force beaming with prospects, for moments and memories to come. Anything worth doing at, they say is absolutely worth doing well. For Cool Kids is one that stands as a testament to this saying and what contemporary music, both in Nigeria and around the world expresses. Not

only will it be a memento of hope, friendship and affection in all its realness but also a reminder of how

sometimes magic can be made in the most versatile of ways, a glimpse into the greatness OracleShaun is about to bless us all with. So don't sleep on this EP and enjoy it, baring your all. Trust me, you'll remember this and smile.

Loyz Fluoresces Positive Energy in 'Peace of Mind’

Loyz, a Nigerian singer and songwriter who grew up in Port Harcourt city gift-wraps african-inspired melodies in his new single “Peace of Mind”. The exciting sound starts off with his visceral vocals married perfectly with the emotional and catchy beat produced by Dannyblaze.

“Peace of Mind” embodies a more mellow sound that took a melodic route to beg for positive energy. Loyz’s unmatched songwriting skills, the instrumental’s tempered keys, and supine percussion is behind the peculiarity this song has.

Heavily influenced by his realities as a young kid who grew up in a not-too-soothing environment, Loyz protests for “Peace of Mind” as he sings ‘It’s not funny oo, E no easy to live and happy o, Only one life wey we get’.

Listen to Peace of mind here

Effects

You have absolutely no right to be fucking with my mind this way,

Mood swings here and there,

You don't even seem to know what you do,

You don't know the effect you have,

And that's annoying too.

Cos how dare you not see what you do to me?

Take me back or shut me out... totally

Cos this state of limbo is driving me crazy.

The Best Plugs to eat Amala in Lagoss.

PrintIf you are from the western region of Nigeria or you live within the area, chances are you have a deep love for Amala. The popular Nigerian delicacy made out of yam flour or cassava flour, it is difficult to visit any of the local bukkas in cities like Ibadan and Lagos without finding the meal on the menu.

The great thing about Amala is that it is quick and easy to prepare, but when not prepared well, be ready to eat your Amala with lumps inside it and trust me you don't want that for your tummy. It is usually eaten alongside soups such as ewedu, gbegiri, okra and more, it is lightweight and makes for an easy swallow down the throat.

1) Amala Shitta Surulere

Surulere no dey carry last!! If you find yourself around Shita “Small London”, then you need to try out our Amala before leaving our area code. Highly recommend with a chilled bottle of coke to step down the fun. It's a great spot to unwind with friends and elevate your taste buds to the other level.

2) Belgium Canteen, Mile 2

Don't let the foreign name take your mind away from the African delicacy you're about to eat. The rush hour during lunch time can make you wait endlessly for your order, so a quick tip “Always come early”.

3) White House, Yaba

Yaba is commonly known as Nigeria Silicon Valley and it lives up to its name and expectations. One of the many gems you should be in Yaba is The White House, and yes you should try out thier Amala and thank me later. It's affordable and worth the stress, so roll up your sleeves and dive into the beauty of your ewedu and Ogunfe.

4) Olaiya Surulere

The secret to the ever-present crowd at the Olaiya canteen in Surulere has been passed down from one generation to another. Whatever it does not matter much to us amala lovers, as long as they keep serving us wonderful amala gbigbona with ewedu plus gbegiri and lots of soft chunky kpomo. There’s also a branch in the University of Lagos but the ‘real Olaiya experience’ is in Surul

Trust

It's like salt when it touches the ground,

It loses its taste and becomes useless,

In a world filled with lies and hate,

You must find one mortal to bury your trust in.

For a baby to walk he has to crawl his knees on the earth,

Same as life before you live

you must survive all the hurdles,

Jumping with faith that the sun must shine tomorrow,

But why must I cry before I smile?

I know emotions comes with lies,

Leaving everyone at the mercy of a king called Pressure,

A king who spares no one who has no believe for tomorrow,

Leading earthlings on a quest that never assures coming home.

Some survive with alot of stories to tell,

Some die on the journey with endless regrets,

While I'm here considering to make my journey,

With hope that even when I die without reaching home,

Please tell my story for me.

Gather at the market square of truth and say,

He was a man who had nothing but went in search of everything,

A man who never regretted his actions but held everyone accountable,

The more you look the less you discover that everything in life is meaningless,

But till then stay home and rest in your peace of mind.
